Okiro’s first Lunewick book is assembled from a pigment-maker’s ledger, a 1911 insurance inventory and a set of undated letters, and it declines to tell you which of the three is lying. There is a building in Govan that appears in the insurance document and in none of the others. Short, difficult, and admired by people who do not usually admire this sort of thing.
